1) Login to vCenter Server 2) Search for the VM 3) Go to Actions tab and take snapshot of VM 4) Update the status in ticket 5) Inform customer on the same 6) You need to delete this snapshot in short span of time else it will “GROW IN SIZE” and can bring down the VM to shutdown status.

Walk through process to decomm VM, go through it. 1) Talk to customer on it 2) Disable Alarms on Monitoring Tools, 3) Email to Backup team to take Snapshot back job for VM 4) Stop Batch Jobs, Backups if any on VM 5) Keep informed CEM and Reporting Manager throughout walk through process. 6) Powerdown VM and update the status on ticket, keep informed Customer and CEM. 7) Email to relevant teams and CEM on Powerdown the VM.8) Wait for 1 week or more before deleting the VM from vCenter Inventory – confirm with CEM before deleting the VM

Renew RDP Licenses on RDP Server Cluster or RDP servers

a) C: drive file system is Full above the threshold limit can reboot the VM, cleanup space through generic process 1) check if VM is at low resource like RAM, CPU and Disk allotment, 2) Disable any scheduled Task 3) Backup job running with snapshot creation, stop backup job if any and delete the snapshots. 4) disable memory balloning to reclaim Memory.

Rebuild the VM through a Backup Job file or Rebuild the VM through preferred Template as per Customer

Check the network connectivity or network adapter connectivity for the VM on vCenter. Align the VM to correct VLAN.

Login to vCenter Server and Power ON the VM

Add more LUN space to the VMFS Datastore. expand the datastore through logging into vCenter
